Hi Everyone, I am researching the following family. James MCCREADY marries Stewart Scot. November 13th 1819 in Paisley. They have 2 children Samuel MCCREADY July 12th 1822 born in Neilston John MCCREADY June 21st 1829 born in Neilston. Marries Jane Brown Lee Hawthorn in Beith, Ayrshire I have hit a brickwall with the birth of James MCCREADY it was suggested to me that he was born at Kirkmaiden, Wigtown in 1795. I then found the birth on the IGI but still no proof he is my James. If anyone is researching this line or has any info to help me I would like to hear from you. Thanks in advance Chris McCready

Sorry, I`m not familiar with this family but I also have some McCready`s from the Glasgow Monklands area. I have James W McCready son of John McCready and Agnes Cannon. James W married Martha Ward in Shettleston 1863 and their large family where all born in Old Monklands.
