Hi Listers, This week I found a copy of Proclamation and Marriages for one of my ancestors in Paisley - Mary Ann McNeil. Her father is my brick wall and just maybe I have found a clue as to why I cannot get any information on him. *James McHutchison, Bookbinder, residing Abbey St & Mary Ann McNeil of Thread St both in this parish have been regularly proclaimed in order to marriage: & no objection made. 3 days. Married 1 August by John Campbell Minister of the Gaelic Church Paisley.* Would anyone know anything about this "Gaelic Church"? I have written to nas.gov.uk. but in the meantime I thought I would ask the list if anyone has any information on this Church - St. Columba's (formerly Gaelic Chapel) There are 3 more names on the page and would willingly pass along the information.
