    3. Hi Kathy Further to Frank's posting, if you are looking for someone in Paisley I would also include the parish of Abbey , which is a separate film (or films). Although different parishes they are part of the one town and I am not sure how clearly the line is drawn in terms of individual streets. It could be that a street runs across both parishes. I have found people in Abbey who said they were from Paisley and vice versa. The way people moved around, it would pay to check the Abbey film as well if you are not sure where they are. The Abbey film is no. 101913, or there is another filming (in theory the same information) on two films nos. 104278 and 104279. I say in theory as I don't think that you can be sure that the odd page might have been skipped in a particular filming. I have often found pages duplicated so it is possible some might get missed as well. I know that has happened occasionally in other parishes. I have searched no. 101913 Abbey and also 101919 for Paisley and sometimes note street names as I go. If you let me know off list what street you are looking for I might be able to help. Same for 1851 where I have covered the whole town (I think!). Regards Bob

    3. Hi, can someone tell me if there was any choice about where a child was baptised in Paisley? Did the child have to be baptised in the parish where it was born? Or was it possible for parents to choose the parish, for example, for the sake of family tradition? Thanks, Sandi
