Are there business directories for Paisley from 1860?? I have a partial business name and an address, but only half of the name and was wondering if anyone can help me out ... I have a Matthew AVINOU who was a Labourer for ....??? and Balacava at 65 George Street, Paisley.... I'm trying to figure out the name of this business, and what kind of business it was...... also- where is Duntocher? is that Renfrew or Lanark?? one more question- How far is Beith from Paisley, and how long would a trip from one to the other have taken?? back in the 1860s........
