Joan, I checked the MI's for Arthurlie Cemetery in Barrhead, there were no Stephen's listed (checked all spellings). There was only one entry that had a James Stephen, that was in Kilbarchan East Page 188 Entry 16 FS Jas STEPHEN wright, his heirs. 1789.
