Can anyone help me with a tidbit of info I have on my gg grandfather's family. William and ElizabethWALKER left Greenock in early 1900s after a" fire in a mill turned their dreams to dust". Don't know what kind of mill. They left for South Africa and eventually homesteaded in Alberta, Canada circa. 1907. Williams father was Alexander WALKER who married Mary NICHOLSON and who died in Greenock in 1856. Thanks for any info.
