Or was the White Cart Water the county boundary to Lanarkshire and Govan parish at this point. An 1868 gazetteer says the White Cart River goes through the parish of Eastwood, but there seems to be a boundary on the old OS map. Second, can someone tell me the reference for the 1851 census enumeration book for this area? Or even better, also tell me whether William CAMPBELL and wife Mirren (or Marion) were living at Coustonholm.
