Hi Mike, Thanks for checking on this JAAP family. I suspect the Robert you found will be connected somehow. I don't know too much about collateral lines yet - my ancestor was Elizabeth JAAP. She was the dau of Robert and Honora. Elizabeth JAAP married James SMITH in 1833 in Paisley. They forgot to record the births of their children. :-) If I can reciprocate with British Columbia lookups let me know.
