On 21 July 1856 William Campbell King age 9 left Scotland to go to Australia (and later on to New Zealand and is an ancestor of my wife). His grandfather gave him a little testament with an inscription telling him to remember he is of Scot descent and entitled to wear the Campbell tartan. The address given is either "Custon Home" or "Auston Home", Paisley, Pollockshaws. It is described as a farm with a big apple orchard.
