Hi Margaret I have the same problem with my common surnames; James MCINTOSH(45) and Christina MUNRO (15 according to 1841 census!)were married in 1840 in Abbey, were in the 1841 census living in Faldside in Renfrew with a Peter McIntosh which may be Jame's father according to his approx age (70), had their daughter Marion the month before they too sailed to New Zealand on the Duchess of Argyle in June 1842. According to the census none were born in Renfrew- so I have also hit the brick wall :o( Donna Aitken Auckland ----- Original Message ----- From: "Margaret Given" <margaretg@paradise.net.nz> To: <SCT-RENFREW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: June 08, 2003 3:23 PM Subject: [Renfrew] Ancestors > In the 1841 census of Paisley Robert Andrew and wife Mary were living at 90 Cannel St with children James,Robert, Margaret and William.
