Hi I thought that this list was for looking up my ancestors, not for putting down someone just because there may be duplicate names of people and places floating around the world. There are many Scots in Canada as well a duplicated scottish names and places, does anyone recognize Nova Scotia(New Scotland). I myself have scottish blood as well as Native Canadian Indian and I am proud of my heritage. My point is that to err is human, and to try to share what knowledge you have is what I thought this list was for. A brick wall may never be broken down if we turn off even one person who may have a link. Jane

Well said Jane I am sitting here feeling slightly embarressed for living down here in the Southern hemisphere :o) We all have the same goal- no matter where we are in the world- to find out stories and links to our ancestors- religion is very much part of that story especially as the Presbyterian Church sponsored many of Glasgow's poor to New Zealand in the 1840's. Please lets not fight and enjoy sharing our knowledge with each other.
