Hi Bill, From memory Barrhead is about 5 miles south of Paisley. I imagine the Seminary was a school near there. Houston is northwest of Paisley , about 5 miles and "The Hardgate" (as it was known in my youth) was closer to Kilbarchan. Can't help with Hawkwead. Could it be Hawkshead? and possibly a farm?
