Thanks Mary I found Hardgate and it should have been Hawkshead my Robert Stewart was a school teacher and i assume that there were schools in those areas he also taught at the Sabbath School, Cartside. I imagine the Seminary was a school near there. Houston is northwest of Paisley , about 5 miles and "The Hardgate" (as it was known in my youth) was closer to Kilbarchan. Can't help with Hawkwead.
