Pardon me for butting in, but my 3rd Great Grandfather was stated as from Hawkhead Mills. He was a weaver./ Later a lady wrote to tell me that it was land once owned by the Earl of Ross, I believe. She said she grew up in that region. And there is only the remnants of the mill still there, but may be a Hawkhead Road. Sorry, I don't have the ladies address off hand. Maybe this will help.
