    1. Re: SCT-RENFREW-D Digest V06 #117
    2. Hello Christopher. I went to Familysearch.org and the IGI has a christening for Mary on 25 Jan. 1741 with the parents Jno. Allason & Barbara Brounlee. There are no birth dates here. The Batch # 7015413, sheet 77, source #0538440 film. There is also another Batch # M119464, sheet 00, source #0102924, 0910484 and 6902528.I clicked on the Batch # and there are many marriages . You might recognize some if you go to M119464. There is still the old style IGI on one computer at the Family History Center. On that one I found another child of Jno. Allason and Barbara Brounlee- (John) Jno. Allason, chr 17 July 1743, Glasgow, Lanark. This time the mother's name is spelled Brounlie. The Batch # for this is C119447, source 102911, 990751. Mary & Alex. had 3 children. all b in West Greenock, Renfrew. This is how there are listed: Wm. chr 25 May 1767, Alexr. b 25 Aug 1768, Jas. b 16 Feb 1771. I tried to find a date for (John) Jno. and came up with John Allason chr 24 Dec 1722 Paisley, Abbey(Paisley), Renfew, father Rot. This one I felt was closer: John Allason chr 27 Nov 1726, Caltoun, Barony, Lanark with the parents as John and Isabell Davidson. Lots of Allasons came from England, but I didn't pursue them.
