Just didn't know if it would be worth it. You are saying it would produce more data than I could find on the free webs? Oh absolutely. Scotlandspeople is the official government website. It has indexes and images of birth, death and marriage certificates from 1855 till 1905 for births, 1955 for deaths and 1930 for marriages. It also has census indexes and images for 1841, 51, 61, 71, 91 and 1901. It costs £6 for 30 credits ...1 credit to look at a page and 5 credits to look at an image. Just be careful if you get back to pre-1855. There are no certificates before that ..only parish register entries. I don't think the images of these are online yet. They are the same entries as are found on the LDS films of the registers so can be looked at more cheaply at LDS family history centres. Also the pre-1855 indexes are almost as good at familysearch.org ..... free site, which also has a lot of the BDM indexes for 1855-1875. Used in conjunction with scotlandspeople it could save you a little money. Irene
