I have found these three William Black births on LDS microfilm 1041088 for Abbey (Paisley,Scotland.) 1. William ,born 29 July/Aug.1726 to John Black and his wife,Elizabeth Cochran. 2. William, born 6 October 1728 to William Black, wife not listed. 3. William, born 8 July 1729 to James Black and his wife, Agnes Thomson. Two questions: 1. Can anyone provide proof that a specific one of these married Elizabeth Stocks, and later brought his family to the Maritimes in Canada? 2. Can anyone prove William's lines back before any of the parents listed in 1,2 or 3 above. Many thanks, Jim Wilman
