Hi all Just a short note to relist my interests in Greenock. I am looking for any details on Duncan Clark born in Greenock Scotland. I have narrowed his parents down to 3 sets (from IGI & Scots People) but I really don't think any of them are the ones. I have his death certificate that states parents unknown, hence how I got his approx birthdate. I also searched for all Duncan CLARK's born about 20 years before his marriage date in 1841. Also because he was here getting married in July 1841, he would not be listed in the 1841 Scottish census This is the shortlist I have come up with - 31/12/1818 CLARK DUNCAN JOHN CLARK GRACE MCNAB FR727 M GREENOCK MIDDLE 564/01 0003 31/12/1820 CLARK DUNCAN JOHN CLARK MARY PAUL FR1295 M GREENOCK OLD OR WEST 564/03 005* 11/02/1821 CLARK DUNCAN JOHN CLARK AGNES MCKAY FR1296 M GREENOCK OLD OR WEST 564/03 005* He come to Australia abt 1839 or 1840 and I haven't been able to find a shipping record for him either - then he married in 1841 and had 10 children here in Victoria, Australia If anyone has a link to this man, I thought that by process of others eliminations, that I would be able to nail him down for certain, so if you are related to any of the above please let me know.
