I am searching for the parents of... Robert Forrest c1750 - He married Helen Hamilton 1750-1838 (her parents - Andrew Hamilton and Marion Renwick. Helen's birth was recorded as Thripwood/Lesmahagow). They raised their 5 children in Braidwood, Carluke, and in later years Robert called himself the proprietor of Woodhall, near Braidwood, but likely was a tenant farmer. He pre-deceased Helen who died in 1838. Their children - James born 1783, Marion 1785, Andrew 1788 (my downline), and twins John and Robert 1790. I cannot find any positive trace of Robert's BDM in Lanarkshire, and he died intestate as far as I can tell. I am now guessing that Robert Forrest was born outside Lanarkshire, and then moved to that area. Please, do you have this family in your tree. I am desperate for help.
