It appears that the earthquake in Taiwan recently severed the fibre cable which services Optus. For some weird reason, anyone using Optus as a provider cannot connect Scotlands People from Australia. It also only appears to affect Scotlands People as other Scottish web sites have no problems. Also, it is out of Optus's hands, they say.
