Hello Sandy I have LANGMUIRs as well but not that early. This is what I have: James LANGMUIR md Grace Lang LYLE Aug 1869 at Broomlands, Paisley. He was born Mar 1843 at Johnstone, Abbey. Their children were Grace Lang LANGMUIR Sep 1870; Janet LANGMUIR Apr 1872; Margaret 1874; Agnes 1876; Georgina 1885; Williamina 1890. Don't have parents of James LANGMUIR, Grace Lang LYLE's parents were George LYLE and Grace LANG and her ancestors in previous generation were James LANG, Grace JOHNSTON, William LYLE and Margaret POLLOCK. Saving for any unrecorded births that leaves Janet and Agnes as possible mother's to James LANGMUIR. It's possible that a connection will be found here. Does your early tree descend to any of these names? My only data for CRAIGs is Magdeline as earlier listed, but I would love to learn more.
