My Dunlops had a cotton mill in what is now Barrhead, and every time I do a Google search for material on "cotton mills" and Renfrew I get heaps about Coats!! Also, there is material from the Dunlop business at the Scottish National ARchives, so presumably there is also stuff about Coats, which was bigger and more recent.
