Hi Marc Did a quick check on Ancestry 1851 census- but couldn't find your family- checked the English one too. Would they have migrated between the censuses? My lot left Renfrewshire for New Zealand in 1842- there was a big drive by the Presbyterian Church to get people out of the slums of Paisley and into countries like Aus, NZ and Canada- my guy was a calico printer too. Do you know where Robert or Sarah was born?
