Hi Caroline and all I was recently at the Watt Library in Greenock and used their newspaper archives on film that included the "Greenock Telegraph". I was able to copy death notices inserted by family over a wide range of dates, certainly between 1882 and 1932. Whilst skimming through looking for definite known dates, I also read a number of well detailed Obits and items of interest such as accidents, drownings etc. The librarian was extremely helpful.
