My gg grandparents were Margaret CLIME, of Collichant, Kilbarchan, Renfrewshire, and James ALLISON. They married at Collichant farm in August 1839 and came to Australia in 1840. They must have been associated with Rev John Dunmore LANG as they were in his congregation in Sydney sometime in 1840. I do know quite a lot about this couple but I have drawn a blank on how they got to Australia. Much of the info I have was written by my great grandmother, who was their 4th child, born 1846, in Sydney. They had several more children. Any info regarding their departure, probably from Greenock, would be appreciated. I am unable to get to Sydney, to the Mitchell Library, which is our source of knowledge!!
