A PAYNE family lived for about a decade in USA (1946-1956) in a place called Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The 1955 Graduating Class of West Senior High School in Pawtucket is attempting too locate a member of this PAYNE family. Her name is Lillian PAYNE born 7 OCT 1937 in Sailcoat, Scotland. She also had a younger brother David Payne born about 1941. Their father was William H. Payne, shipwright, born about 1911 in Scotland. His wife was about 5 years older than William and her given name was Elizabeth. The only reliable lead we have to date is that during a visit to Scotland, Lillian Payne gave and address as 24 Orchard Park Ave, Giffnock, Renfrewshire. As we are unfamiliar with the best method to find Lillian in order to send her a reunion invitation, it would be helpful if someone on this list could offer a suggestion.
