Les, I would be interested in your HORN ancestry. I have an ancestor Judith HORN who married Job MATHIS. Judith was supposed to be descended from Jacob HORN and others in Holland. I'm researching my Renfrewshire families which include Langs and Weems. The Lang family included a gt.gt.uncle John Lang who had an engineering/manufacturing company "John Lang & Son" in the Johnstone area. I would be pleased to hear if anyone has any information on this. Also with regard to the Weems family. There were two Weems brothers - John & William who had, I believe, a plumbing/manufacturing company also in the Johnstone area. My ancestor was William Weems who died prior to 1841. His brother John, a Master Engineer, became quite successful with innovations which took him to Russia amongst other places. He died 1881 aged 76.
