    3. Chris, I'm not sure from your messages what information you already have, but I imagine it would be worth looking at the marriage records for Agnes and the others. They should tell you more, in particular whether the brides' parents' names, for you to decide whether they are your Mackies. These records can be viewed online in the official archives on the Scotland's People site. www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk It looks like most of them are there, though the spelling may differ slightly, e.g. Elizabeth marrying Daniel rather than Elisabeth. It's a pay site, but with the names and dates you have, the costs should be very limited. (NB Mary Mackie's 1851 marriage was before statutory registration in 1855 and so there would only be the old parish marriage record, which is lovely to see and have, but rarely gives as much information.) I had an Elisabeth Mackie married to a Daniel MATHIESON in Aug 1862 in Neilston. I have found a few children Agnes Leckie Mathieson b Sept 1862 Neilston Elisabeth " b May 1865 " Euphemia Miller " b Jan 1864 I am wondering if anyone else is researching this family. Elisabeth Mackie had a sister Marion who came to Australia in 1858. The Mackie name is in every one of my generations. Marion must have made a great impression. Even my grandson has it as his middle name.
