There was another Church east of the Bourock Church on Main Street at Water Row - roughly where the medical centre and Sports centre are today. Old maps seem to indicate a churchyard as well. I vaguely remember some controversy when they built the Sports centre. If you look at http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html and bring up the 1938 map of Barrhead the building and outline of some form of yard can still be seen.
