Hello Mary, Clare and list, You are the best person to decide whether this is the family you are looking for, but from the index to the 1871 census which you may already have seen, he comes up as Dougald CRAWFORD, born Glendaruel, so not sure what Thuce is. Mary makes it to the 1871index as May, which may be a transcription anomaly or in fact the name variant under which she was recorded that time round. Other locations mentioned more than once were Kilmony (Kilmory) Bute and Ardrossan which seems to fit some of what else has been said.
