With these Greenock newspaper archives i am presuming that what is found is not the full article on a certain event ?? eg the death of Alexander McLEOD 1884 ( i think ) In other words is there a more in depth article somewhere on a particular event such a birth , death or marriage ?? Kind regards to all Brian Johnson > Try the Watt Library at.. > http://www.inverclyde.gov.uk/community-life-and-leisure/local-history-and-heritage/watt-library-newspaper-index > Good Luck > Frank McGonigal Ont.Canada > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Caroline Bell" <bambigods@gmail.com> > To: <SCT-RENFREW@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Saturday, July 31, 2010 4:35 PM > Subject: [SCT-RENFREW] Greenock Telegraph > > > >> Does anyone know if there is an archive of the Greenock Telegraph covering >> 1895 anywhere ? >> >> Many thanks >> >> Caroline Bell >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> SCT-RENFREW-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the >> quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> >> > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SCT-RENFREW-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message > >
I haven't used it myself so I can't comment on that, but I know some patrons at the FHC where I volunteer have found it very useful.
