    3. Hi Jackie, thanks but I've been doing that and like you, have had a few that were 'no images' in the beginning but are there now. I'm just a wee bit fed up waiting for the image to see if she belongs to me so thought I'd ask.Jacqui Jackie Thorpe <jackieaz@cox.net> wrote:Hi Jacque, In case no one can do the look up for you here's a tip. 1. [Renfrew] New to list. Researching CAMPBELL, TAYLOR, BLAIR
    2. Hi All, I am new to the list as well as genealogy research. I have found out a lot about my father's family, but I am stumped and could really benefit from some help. I have noticed that this list is very warm and friendly and I am glad to belong! I am looking for William CAMPBELL, born around 1940ish in Arthurlie (according to the 1881 census). Married Jean Osborne, (Jane or Jeanie), July 11 or 12, 1861 in Johnston. I am searching for birth and death information for both. Also searching for Catherine TAYLOR's birth in Greenock around 1835 according to the 1881 census. She married Kinnaird Robb on June 5, 1857, in Govan, Lanarkshire, and died in 1888. Her parents are also a mystery. Her father is John TAYLOR (although on her death registration from Scotland's People it said KELLAR). I am assuming he registrant misunderstood as Kellar does not appear to even be a Scottish name. Everything else points to TAYLOR as the surname. I have no information on John at all and Catherine's mother was Isabella BLAIR born around 1803. HELP!!!!!!!!! Any ideas? Anyone with these people in their family? Thanks in Advance! Shona in Oregon

    2. Ruth
    3. We are looking for information on the Thomas Millar family from Greenock, he married a Elizabeth Harper in 1857 and had three children: Ann Millar born May 1857 William Millar born May 1859 Elizabeth Millar born Nov 1863 We are looking for any desendants of these children, their mother apparently took them to the Orkney Islands, Evie and Rendall, and from there we were able to trace Elizabeth to the Fraserburg area, however we have been unable to find any trace of Ann in the 1881 census and William after the census. Any help would be appreciated. Ruth

    2. Graeme Auld
    3. Bob Thank you for your prompt reply. Indeed the family line is through John Auld & Elizabeth Campbell. I found a marriage in February 1788 in Kilmarnock,Ayr as the only possible marriage listed on the IGI when I went looking after posting to the list yesterday. Is Ayr far from Paisley? I could not really identify a John Auld birth. David is a very strong first name for the first son - ??? John father is named David. Is there any family existing still in the area besides yourself? Can you give me details of the Auld families from the 1841- & 1851 census Please - as I have no access to them? Can I access them over the internet? I have a lot of details on the australian end about what happened to David Auld - Lockhart Paterson. I would be interested in sending the ozzie details to you if you want. I am not sure what else to ask you so I will await your reply. many thanks Leonie. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Pollock" <bobpollock@paradise.net.nz> To: <SCT-RENFREW-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 20, 2003 8:44 AM Subject: [Renfrew] Auld- Paterson, Paisley. > Hi Graeme > I am descended from Agnes AULD who would appear to be a sister of your > David m Agnes ADAMS. The address in 1881 was 2 Cathkin Terrace, Cathcart, Renfrew, Scotland. I would be interested to know who was in their home and whether they had any children then.
