    1. [Renfrew] McKellar, Arbuckle & 1851 Census
    2. Ron & Mary Harris
    3. This message is for everyone, but to Mike & to Alison Cline, in particular. First, Mike, I am not sure if you are swamped with requests now, but I have one if you're not too too busy. Mine ties in with Alison Cline's, in a way. I am looking for a family of ARBUCKLEs who lived in Greenock (West) in the 1850s. Mostly, I'm looking for a female, born circa 1840s, who may have given birth to an "illegitimate" son, Malcolm Arbuckle, on Feb. 14, 1859. This baby seems to have been taken away & raised by M(a)cKellar relatives up in Argyllshire. Looking for some kind of connection for the 2 families. Perhaps some McKellars lived near some Arbuckles on the census of 1851 in Greenock? Alison, do you know of any Arbuckle or even Argyllshire connections to your folks? Malcolm had 2 aunts in Paisley/Greenock area) - Peggy & Isa - who emigrated to the U.S. & Australia respectively, after WW1. A vague clue, I know, but it might mean something to someone. Also, Allison, I live 3 hours' drive from you & pass through Sudbury about once a year! Thanks all. Mary

Her husband was Alexander and he may or may not still be living at that time. Supposedly resident in Greenock. Thank you so much if you have time to look. Allison Cline Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
