Mostly, I'm looking for a female, born circa 1840s, who may have given birth to an "illegitimate" son, Malcolm Arbuckle, on Feb. 14, 1859. This baby seems to have been taken away & raised by M(a)cKellar relatives up in Argyllshire. Looking for some kind of connection for the 2 families. Perhaps some McKellars lived near some Arbuckles on the census of 1851 in Greenock? Alison, do you know of any Arbuckle or even Argyllshire connections to your folks? Malcolm had 2 aunts in Paisley/Greenock area) - Peggy & Isa - who emigrated to the U.S. & Australia respectively, after WW1. A vague clue, I know, but it might mean something to someone.
