    3. HI I am from Eddleston, and can't help you, but there were Murrays attached to the Black Barony Hotel in Eddleston. They even have a little cemetery on the grounds. Not sure this is of any help though, but just a thought. I'm afraid I can't help, but I have a book, which was presented to me (and other children at school) in 1949(the Jubilee year, and the year I left Peebles) about the beltane Festival. In there I noticed that in 1934 a Miss P Murray of Bridgehouse Terrace, "bussed" the colours (put a ribbon on the cornet's flag), as did Miss Mary Murray of Dean Park in 1948. I am looking at Birth certificates from Counties of Peebleshire and Edinburgh. I notice that an 1865 Birth certificate has it on but an 1860 Birth certificate does not. . My own G.Grandparents William Renwick and Agnes Alexander state on the birth certificates of two children both born at Moorfoot, Parish of Temple, Edinburgh in 1866 and 1869 respectively that they were married 26th December 1855 at Stow, Edinburgh.
