Hello Listers, We have just joined the list and are researching Grahams and Reids from Kirkcudbright. Specifically, we are seeking information on William Graham, born about 1820 - probably in Minnigaff (from census). He married Margaret Reid on December 01, 1840, in Minnigaff. Margaret Reid was born in 1819/1820 in Kirkinner, Wigtown, but was listed as being from Minnigaff in the OPR marriage register. William is referred as "of Carphairn" Parish in the marriage record. In the 1851 census, William Graham is listed as a Lead Miner. Any assistance on finding information on siblings and parent of either of these folks would be very much appreciated. Hi Jack and Cheryl, I'm not going to be much help but I have a Agnes GRAHAM b. 1811 who married an Alexander CLAVE of Minnigaff. There family was raised in Mochrum, WIGTOWN.
