I thought I would post my own personal "brick wall" once more in the hope that someone somewhere comes across something . I have ROBERT WILSON, tailor, b. circa 1777 in Colvend, died 09.03.1856 at Barnbarroch. He was married to Margaret Tait. On Robert's death certificate it gives his parents as DUKE WILSON (carrier/carter)and AGNES AIKEN. I can find no record of a Duke Wilson anywhere, and think it may be a nickname. believe the Agnes Aitken may be the one bpt Barscraigh 29.12.1756, and it is unlikely that my Robert was the only child. He may well even have been one of the eldest.........soooooooooooooo......... If anyone out there EVER comes across a death post 1855 of a Wilson whose mother was Agnes Aitken pleeeeeeeeease let me know!!!! It would be such a boost to find "Duke"'s real name. This has been a mystery to me for ten years now......there must be another Wilson out there somewhere with these parents. Thanks Barbara
