Hello, I was wondering if anyone could assist with any information concerning Robert Shaw SINCLAIR. He was born about 1852 in Kudbrightshire and his parents are believed to be Farquhar SINCLAIR and Mary ANDERSON. I have located Farquhar in the 1881 census, in Girthon, with 2 daughters and 5 grandchildren. Robert married Elizabeth BEATTIE (born about 1859 in Anworth) and she is found on the 1881census as head of household in Girthon with her 1 month old daughter. She and Robert migrated to Australia later in 1881. Also at the house with Elizabeth, is her niece, Maggie MONTGOMERY (born about 1867), indicating that either Elizabeth or Robert's sibling married a Montgomery. Any help is much appreciated.
