Hi everyone, My name is Glenda Peterson. I'm tracing my father's family and have a Rosanna McNeil b.1841 who married John Knight in 1865 who was from Northumbria or therabouts in England. I have Kirkudbright as a place of birth and through LDS have turned up a Rosanna McNeil b. 18.08.1841 Rerrick, Kirkudbright with father William McNeil and mother Agnes Strachan. I'm not sure if this is the right person but the names William and Agnes appear in later generations. If anyone has any information on the McNeils or Strachans I would be interested. I'm very new to researching family history so will be glad to key in to various bits and pieces that come up on this site. Thanks, Glenda
