Hello everyone! Here is a real challenge: James, or John, or Jack WATSON, a great-uncle or ggf of mine, sometime between 1820 and 1930. The only info I have on this individual is gathered from stories heard by me in childhood, and concern the fact that he drowned one Sunday while fishing in the River Dee, KKB when he was about 30 yrs old . A ditty of that time refers to this incident, loosely paraphrased as follows: "Had he ere been in God's house, where he should have been, He'd a ne'er been drowned in the river of Dee" (or something like that!) His Brother, or Son, (my GF), was Henry Watson, married to Alice Bartlett, moved to Bradford and Cottingley, Yorkshire. That is the sum total of my knowledge of my father's side of the family.
