The pop in 1851 was 275. Villages of the same spelling, are found in Glasgow and Falkirk. Is there a decent map anywhere that I can see how all these places fit together ? *Possibly* the 1868 Estate Plan for Threave Castle will help, NGC ref NX7560. The Castle estate is in both KKD parishes of Kelton and Balmaghie. The Plan is accessible in West Register House at shelf ref. RHP.3367. My own file ref is v377, pls quote if you wish to pursue. I lose things! If you don't get an excellent response to this query, pl call me off-line mailto:[email protected] > Is Durisdeer a possibility. I know I've seen some Millars there. That is located at NS8903. People moved about, especially for farming folk. Most folk *owned* no house and little furniture, and employment opportunity motivated relocating. Cheers.........
