Hello listers, The 1851 Census shows David Cameron aged 50 years living at 6 Silver Street, Creetown (District 10; household No.96) with his wife Mary (Brown) aged 45, and several of their children. David Cameron was born in Glasgow, Lanarkshire in about 1801. I would like to find out the names of his parents. Perhaps they are on his death registration - not that I know when he died! Would some kind person look at the 1861 Census to see if he was still alive then? His wife Mary died in Creetown on 24 May 1871. I'd also like to know when they were married. The first child of whom I'm aware, is John Cameron born about 1826, probably in Kirkmabreck. Best wishes Sybil Cameron in Sydney
