My particular brick wall is "Duke" Wilson b. circa 1738 who married an Agnes Aitken circa 1777 and had at least one son Robert.......any more about him is a mystery! These are from the Colvend Kirk Parish Records: I believe the Hamilton Wilson and Mary you mention are as follows: Hamilton Wilson bpt 17.01.1793, Galleyhorn , son of William Wilson and Mary Mckean Mary Wilson bpt 17.12.1788, Galleyhorn, daughter of William Wilson and Mary McKean I found no other children to William and Mary..............however.......... Bill and Helen Holland are related to Jean Wilson (the one with the daughter Sally?) b. to William Wilson and Mary McKeand in 1780, and have confirmed this connection through a family tree from another researcher, and have traced this line back to Robert Wilson in Colvend in 1695, so presumably they could give you much more, and I am sure they would be most interested in your letters. Hi Barbara: Your mention of the name Wilson and Kirkpatrick Durham raised my curiosity. I have a Hannah Wilson marrying Peter Donaby(Donabie)(Dunabie)(Danabie) about 1825 in Kirkpatrick Durham. I would assume that Hannah and Peter were probably born about 1805. They had at least one child, Peter Donaby who married Ann Houston in 1853. If these connect with your Wilsons, I would be grateful for any information that you could provide.
