I obtained the following information from the OPR. I am wondering what/where Ingleston is, and if anyone has seen this use of alias. Any explanation for the use of an alias? At least, John and William used the name McLeod in there later life. Jane Lauful Daughter of William MClurg and Margaret Mitchell in Ingleston was born the 10th of Aug. 1806 John lawful son of William McClurg and Margaret Mitchell was born at Ingleston on the 5th day of April 1809. William lawful son of William McClurg & Margaret Mitchell was born in Ingleston Oct 4th 1811 Archibald Mitchell Kirkanders was intered at Kirkanders churchyard Nov 1797. *Difficult to read this name. Could of been McCleerg or McCluig. Couldn't see Mc for the first 2 entries but was there for the next 3. Jan. 15, 2002
