hi i live in Nova Scotia i am a desendant of William Clouden of Old Clouden Farm parish of Irongray and Rerrick his wife was Mary Halliday/holiday depending on record (she had a son James Maxwell from and out of wedlock relationship with Thomas Maxwell) then when he was four or five she married william Clouden and year later Robert Clouden(would later be changed to Mcleod for some reason) was born and in 1799 he married Janet Aitken (daughter of William Aitken and Jannet Clark) they had eight children between shawhead and Auchencairn they then moved to Pictou Nova Scotia in 1817 (ship unknow their daughter jannet would later marry willie halliday from the same place in scotland who apparently came over at the same time and ship)also there were grahams,carsons on the same boat and place. other names connected with the Aitken and Clouden lines in scotland are Dougan, Edgar,Dornan,holliday willing to share any info i have my mcleod line goes from this point down to my own children and i have most lines complete just a few im working on that married into the line.tkss in advance andrea
