HELLO, im looking for infor on JAMES MAXWELL,as follows: the baptism,James Maxwell,on Sept.2,1768,natural son of Thomas Maxwell and Mary Holiday. The second. the marriage proclamation,of 29th April,1775 that William Clouden and Mary Holiday were married at Old Clouden Farm. Thus we see that Mary Holiday had a son James Maxwell by an out-of-wedlock relationship with one Thomas Maxwell, When this son James Maxwell was four and one-half years old Mary Holiday was married to William Clouden(later changed to Mcleod). Robert Clouden was born,Jan,19,1774,the following year on making him the first child of this marriage.(he is my ggggg grandfather) James MAxwell's father was Thomas MAxwell,and in one of the letters mentions that his grandfathers name was also Thomas MAxwell.
