Hi List, my ggg Grandmother appears to have been born in Dalmellington Ayr but she had three children in Creetown a marriage cannot be found. Her husband John Hunter, no information on him, except he was a sailor Would she have married in Dalmellington and travelled to Creetown because John was a Sailor,? Dalmellington seems a long way from Creetown. Until I found her on the 1851 census I thought she was born in Wigtown, just goes to show that just thought will get you<g> Agnes Heron was born in 1770, there first child was born in Creetown in 1793. any suggestions. cheers Maggie Australia [email protected]
