    3. Hi list please dont think me to silly with this question when using the IGI and entering a batch number, in this instance a christening number and the surname if I come up with three different fathers would they be related? births are all in the same parish maggie [email protected]

Or occasionally two films. The film being a copy of many complete register pages. If you give me a Batch Number then I'll tell you the Microfilm number's it was sourced from. Example, Batch C048881 was derived from Film 569758. When you copy a relevant Batch Number that attaches to your family event/s you also are in company with a lot of other names, a mix of related and unrelated folk. Especially in rural villages where there are very few surnames, there is a risk you might "adopt" persons with no biological connection.
