    3. Hi List, Am trying to locate Margaret HANNAH born 1881/82 but dont know where. I have had several searches done thru the GRO in Southport to find Margaret but to no avail. I believe that HANNAH is a populair name in Scotland, and am therefore putting my query to the list. Margaret Catherine HANNAH married a Thomas Henry FISHER in ???? - their first child was born in 1897 in Hartlepool. On the birth cert of this child it says "Margaret Hannah now the wife of Thomas Fisher" so I have a feeling that they got married after the birth of the child 27.11.1897 but before registration 22.1.1898. Marriage cant be found at the GRO Southport for the years 1895-1900. It could be that Margaret came from Scotland, met Thomas FISHER in Hartlepool and had his child before they were married. To save any embaressment, they could have let on that they were already married but secretly went up to Scotland to get married after the birth - all guess work. As Southport are unable to find her birth nor her marriage in England and Wales, I guessing that she may have come from Scotland. She lived in Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Hartlepool and had a total of 9 children. Margaret died of throat cancer in 1943 in Hartlepool. Does anyone see any connection with this Margaret Fisher (nee HANNAH). Or any suggestions to a particular area in Scotland where there were a lot of HANNAHs. Thanks in advance. Vivienne (living in Holland)
