Hi Maggie, Marykirk and Garvock are approx. 4 miles apart as the crow flies. I believe the Elisabeth Muchart you have found is the daughter of John Muckart and Catherine Smith. He was farming at Bradieston in Garvock at the time. I am actively engaged in compiling a family tree for the Muckart surname and have found the surname spelt in 3 different ways. These are Muckart/Muchart/Muckhart and are frequently used interchangeably. There is a record of an Elisabeth Muchart marrying a John McDonald in Aberdeen on the 21 Dec. 1847. This may well be the same person.I have been trying to get in touch with you for some time since seeing your post on another website.
