James DICKSON was a farmer in Dunnottar. James married Elisabeth SPALDING on 25th Jan, 1845. Their children were David DICKSON, John Alexander William DICKSON, James DICKSON and Elizabeth DICKSON.( all born between 1846 - 1857) in Kincardine, Dunnottar, Scotland. James DICKSON had a cousin named Patrick DICKSON and Patrick's son was Eric DICKSON. Patrick and Eric moved to the London area and wrote to NZ saying that apparently there were no more of our DICKSON line left in Scotland after the 1st world war. David married Laura Lucretia SCOTT in 1877 in Aberdeen, and they had two children -Juliet DICKSON b 1878 in Aberdeen and her brother HUGH SPALDING DICKSON b 1887 in New Zealand. I would love any info on Patrick or Eric DICKSON and there families. i have no idea wether they stayed in London or moved on. Any help most appreciated. [email protected]
